Building Marshal Program
The Building Marshal program was built to help protect the citizens of North Carolina State University during building emergencies. This program appoints a building leader to make evacuations to be executed in a safe and orderly manner.
What will the Program do?
The University Building Marshal program will provide students, faculty, staff, and emergency services with the peace of mind that the campus is safe during emergency situations. The primary actions of the head Building Marshal will include:
- Assist the building occupants and the first responders in the evacuation process
- Secure the building and ensure all exits are being watched
- Report any crucial information to the responders coming to or on the scene
How Can I Become a Building Marshal?
- Make sure that you are able to complete the requirements of the role of Building Marshal.
- Complete the Building Marshal Volunteer Application.
